Excited children from three different year groups at Morley Place Academy have enjoyed residential trips. Year 5 was hosted by Dallowgill, Year 6 went to Walesby Residential while Year 4 travelled to Austerfield Residential.

At Dallowgill, children took part in stream dipping, using the telescopes to stargaze and went into the woodlands to build shelters. They experienced snow and watched icicles form on the streams.

During the Year 6 residential, children built rafts, attempted to use a bow and arrow and tried their best on the assault courses. They had a peaceful night watching the stars and singing songs in front of the campfire. At Austerfield, the children loved making their own rivers and watching out for different birds and enjoying their time outside in nature.

Staff who organised the trips were Rob Crofts, Hannah Beaumont and Hannah Summers (Year 5); Jen Timms, Jo Shaw and Joanne Carton (Year 6); and Sarah Fitzpatrick, Zoe Neocleous, and Rebecca Gilson (Year 4)
